A pleasant family park, converted from an ancient wetland, is a great place to spend the afternoon with your family. A shared walk and bicycle lane of 3.7 kilometers surrounds the lake and is said to be connected to the Hobsons Bay coastal trail. Other facilities in the reserve include playgrounds, picnic sheds, barbecue grills, seats, toilets and parking lots accessible from Miller Road (Millers Road). The lake and surrounding protected areas are important wildlife habitats, watching black swans and wild ducks swim and delight the eye, and enjoying the purple marshes by the lake.
