Franziskanerkirche

Located on the banks of the Roy River, very close to the Capelle Covered Bridge, you can see the two green spires of the church from the bridge. This church is beautiful both external and internal, especially the interior color and the common style of the God and Christian churches are quite different.

Built in the 14th century, visitors from all over the world wander through its beautiful baroque corridors, admiring precious archives of paintings and music, libraries, and paintings on gold and silverware. The monastery also houses the oldest pharmacy in Europe, built in 1317 and the third oldest in the world. Inside the museum, visitors can see interesting exhibitions on how to distill water with tools, manuscripts for pharmaceutical prescriptions, and how to measure accurately in the 14th century.
