Dingdingmen Site Museum

The site museum is divided into two floors underground and two floors above ground. Among them, the inside of the city platform, city wall, and Quetai are the site protection and display area. The doorway and pillar foundation stone of the site unearthed by archaeological excavations are protected and displayed here. The inner space of the tower and the tower is an exhibition area, which mainly displays the evolution history of the site and some cultural relics unearthed in the archaeological excavation of Luoyang City in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The Silk Road Cultural Square is 110 meters long from east to west and 160 meters wide from north to south. There are three bluestone floor tiles paved with a width of about 6 meters that lead directly to the three gates of the city tower. On the east and west sides of the square are green spaces, small bridges and flowing water, and green grass and cedar. Give people a casual and elegant feeling. Gaimenlou is the main gate of Guocheng outside Luoyang City in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, located on the central axis of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Since the establishment of the eastern capital Luoyang in the Sui Dynasty, it was successively designated as the main gate of the Outer Guo City by the Tang, Houliang, Later Tang, Houzhou and Northern Song Dynasties, and was gradually abandoned until the end of the Northern Song Dynasty. The gate was used as the main gate of the southern wall of Guocheng for 530 years.
