Lotus cave is one of the caves in Longmen Grottoes, located in Xishan Grottoes. Built from 525 to 527 AD, the name is due to the engraving of a huge lotus flower on the roof of the cave, and the lotus roof of the Great Hall of the People is designed according to this lotus flower.
Lotus Cave: Also known as Lotus Ancient Cave or Huadong, it is located on the Malinggang Banpo, about 8 kilometers northeast of Puding County, Guizhou Province, about 1 km from the road. The entrance of the Lotus Cave is small and only allows one person to enter and exit. A diamond-shaped boulder is erected above the entrance. The four characters of "Lotus Ancient Cave" written by Yang Sen, the chairman of Guizhou Province of the Kuomintang Party. The whole cave has a main hole, two ear holes, and each hole has a "skylight".
After thousands of years of erosion, he has left the ancient imprint of the times, his beautiful art essence can be preserved for a long time, exquisite Buddha statue sculpture, beautiful wall painting, too historical. . .

The second disciples are shallow reliefs, the left disciple Jia Ye deep-membrane high nose, chest muscles and bones, holding a tin cane, like a Western ascetic monk, but unfortunately its head was stolen in the early years, and the existing French Jimei Museum. Lotus Cave has the smallest Buddha statue in the Longmen Grottoes, only 2 cm high, these small thousand Buddhas are located above the south wall of Lotus Cave, vivid and meticulous.[4]
