Xionger Mountain Scenic Area

Xiong'er Mountain Scenic Area is located in Hengjian Township, Lushi County, the western border of Henan Province. It integrates mountains, water, caves, and rare plants and Chinese medicinal materials. The main attractions are Santianmen, Longtan, Dumu Bridge, Tongtian Cave, Wind Cave and Zushi Temple. Xiong'er Mountain Scenic Area not only has beautiful landscapes, but also has rich cultural connotations. The main peak, Xiong'erling, is 1,569 meters above sea level. It is named because of its two peaks sloping toward the middle and looking like bear's ears. Xiong'er Mountain and Wudang Mountain are in the same vein, and have been named as a Taoist holy place since ancient times. Taoist culture can be traced back to the Tang and Song Dynasties from some stone carvings and stone statues. According to folklore, Taishang Laojun passed by here, and when he sat on the top of the mountain and put on his shoes, he pressed the mountain crookedly, so it is commonly known as "Crooked Mouth Mountain". Xiong'er Mountain is majestic and precipitous, with stalwart shores and towering towers. It climbs to the main peak, but when the clouds cover the fog, or the jade belt wraps around the waist, or the laurel crown wears the top, the momentum is extraordinary. Xiong'er Mountain integrates atmosphere, delicacy and spiritual energy. It is located on the top of the mountain and overlooks it. There are layers of obstacles around it. The mountains all face the main peak of Xiong'er Mountain. Toutianmen, Ertianmen, and Santianmen are as steep as cuts, which are extremely dangerous; the water depth of Longtan is more than 10 feet, with waterfalls and clear springs flying from top to bottom, which is called a wonderful show; the single-plank bridge hangs between the cliffs and cliffs, and no signs of decay have been seen over the years; Tongtian Cave is flat Straight, blue sky and white clouds can be seen after entering the cave; ice skating in the wind tunnel does not melt until the hot summer in July, and the snow still remains in August, known as "the bear's ears are not inked, the white clouds and snow reflect the fairyland"; the ancestors' temple, etc. Many temple ruins still exist, and the incense is strong.
