Nice views - good for a 15-minute stop
Nice stopover on the side of the road just off Lake Michigan. Gives a tribute to Pere Marquette. A big cross overlooks both Lake Michigan and Pere Marquette Lake. Ideal for a 15-minute stop.

Beautiful view from the top! Not marked very clear but they have a little roadside parking spot. We love historic sites so that is why we sought this marker out.

The cross is up on a hill that you can see from the parking lot. It is nice. The other side has a plaque explaining what happened to Marquette which I found very interesting.
