Doripo

Doripo is a small port, and it takes about 20 minutes to reach Doripo along a local road from Muan-eup through the center of the Haiji Peninsula. There are many sashimi shops in front of the port, and it is adjacent to the Seven Mountains Sea, which is bounded by Yeonggwang-gun and Hampyeong-gun. It is famous for sea fishing such as sea bream and barracuda. Recently, 639 pieces of Goryeo celadon from the 14th century were salvaged in the nearby waters and designated as a Historic sites. Doripo also protrudes out of the sea, and you can enjoy the sunrise. In winter, the sun rises from the seaside of Hampyeong, and in summer, it rises from the mountainside of Ronggwang. The sunset on the seaside of Qisan, opposite Dolipo Port, is equally spectacular, and you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset in the same place. Daolipo has long white sandy beaches, dense pine forests, vast seas and beaches. After passing the white sandy beach, walk inwards and you will come to Doripo Port. Dauripo, like any sunrise establishment on the west coast, holds a sunrise celebration here every January 1st. It is very popular all over the country as a place where you can catch bass.
