In the latter half of the Kamakura period, Nikkata Shonin went to Kyoto for the purpose of spreading the Nichiren sect to Kyoto, but he did not do as he expected, so he stayed here and started missionary work. At that time, it was a temple of the Shingon sect, but it was converted to the Nichiren sect due to the influence of Nikko Shonin. Get off at Nishimukohi Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line and walk ５ minutes, it looks like a local temple.

It is a temple of the Nichiren sect located １００ meters west of the historic site Nagaokakyo Ruins Daigokuden Park. Nikko Shonin was ordered by the sect founder Nichiren, and although he carried out missionary work in Kyoto, he was persecuted and expelled many times, but he continued missionary work near Otokun. This temple is a temple of the Shingon sect, but it is said that the chief priest Sanekata devoted himself to Nichiren sect and renovated it to the Nichiren sect. In the precincts, there are Kaisando, main hall, and bell tower built in the Edo period.
