A sandy beach with a voice
Original Text
If you go from Washibetsu to Muroran on National Highway 235, you will arrive at Itanki Beach by following the road sign on the left turn. In the past, there was a place name called "Hawanota (sand beach with voice)" attached by the Ainu people, so when we investigated it in 1986, it was the first Narusa beach in Hokkaido to make a sound. I visited because I could experience the crying sand. At first, it didn't sound even if I walked, so when I walked for a while, I got the knack. When I stepped in to slip Kakato parallel to the sand, it sounded.

It is said that the crying sand has been confirmed on the sandy beach on the Pacific side. I walked, but I didn't understand the sound, so it's a mystery whether it sounded or not ... but the waves that hit the weather were very nice and were very beautiful. It's shallow and I want my child to play, but swimming was prohibited.

A relaxing sandy beach
