Has a nice trail for walking and biking with a sandy beach. It's great to see it turned into a park to enjoy.

This a new, great attraction for the residents of Muscatine County! There is a very large sandy beach area with a nice size swimming area. Plus, there is a dock for fishing and one for launching a boa...
Sand, water, docks and parking
We have not been to "pits" for 30 years...wow, what an overhaul. Nice fishing, boating docks. Much parking and sand everywhere. Really a beautiful place and getting better.

I would ever get to swim in a gravel pit again! I grew up in Muscatine and , as a kid, "swam in the pits" regularly. I loved them because of their clear, relatively clean water. So refreshing! Tres...
