The lava maze (also known as the Black Castle) is adjacent to Lake Mi, with its exaggerated and exotic rock formations and caves, often referred to as the gates of hell. In the early 1940s, local farmers handed over the area to the government, which built stone fences, planted turf to stabilize sand and stone, and repaired it, which became the current situation of Dimmuborgir today. There are three trails in Dimmuborgir, and you have to walk the largest circle to see the lava church. Open all day (Monday-Sunday January 1st-December 31st) Ticket guide Please consult the scenic spot for details

This is one of the attractions of Iceland's Lake Mi, full of strange stones formed after the cooling of volcanic lava, like black castles and mazes. Legend has it that this is where Icelandic Christmas old demons usually live.
There are several trails in the lava maze, mainly weathered over the years, and there will be various forms, which are more spectacular. However, the entire scenic spot is more windy and sandy because of the formation of lava.
Also called "black castle", is a large black rock area cooled after the eruption, the shape is strange. There are several hiking routes inside the scenic spot, the most popular is a more than 2 kilometers long, passing through one of the "churches", this "church" is a natural formation of a cave. The naturally formed caves like the picture below are still very interesting. The most famous cave in the scenic area is super large. There is no problem with a 1 meter 8+ male on the cave! Unique and exotic lava formations form mysterious dark castles, where Satan is said to have settled after being evicted from heaven, but expelled by the local spirit of light, so he turned his "hell caves" into their capital.
Dimmuborgir is a wonderful view of Lake Mi, and the most worth visiting place in Iceland. The strange stone shapes inside are the best witness to the volcanic eruption in the past, and it was filmed in the third season of the movie "Game of Thrones"!
Ctrip called this attraction a "lava maze", and our tour guide called a "black castle" when introduced. It was planned to walk a little for half an hour, but it took more than an hour to walk a long time. Each person's imagination is different, and the same stone can see the feeling is different.
The scenery is beautiful and the scenery is infinitely beautiful.
