Kinomoto Jizo-in Joshin-ji Temple

Kinomoto Zōin is a Tokimune temple, famous for enshrining a deity that heals eye diseases. The 6-meter-high Jizo statue standing in the temple imitates the deity of the secret Buddha, and the "Kinomotozo" attracts pilgrims from all over Japan. The monastery has a long history, dating back to the Hakuho era. Records show that Kukai, Kiso Yoshinaka, Ashikaga Tsunji, and Ashikaga Yoshizaki also visited here. Every year on the "Da Yuan Day" in August, there will be many open-air stalls, and visitors from far and near will flock to it, making it extremely lively.
