Nakatsu Castle, built by Kuroda Kanbei, is a water castle with the sea and mountains as a natural hazard. The castle tower is a simulated castle tower made of reinforced concrete, but traces of the castles that follow Kuroda, Hosokawa, Ogasawara, and Okudaira still remain. In particular, the stone wall built by Kanbei is the oldest precious remains in Kyushu.

It is a park maintained around Nakatsu Castle. It is one of the tourist attractions in the city center, with not only Nakatsu Castle but also shrines and museums. I think it's a good spot to take pictures of Nakatsu Castle.

The area centering around Nakatsu Castle was also maintained as a park. Various facilities were compactly organized, and there was Sansaiike Pond in the background with the main enclosure in front. There were also several shrines in the park.
