Baihuazhou

Baihuazhou is located in the center of Nanchang City. It is three small islands in the East Lake of Nanchang, collectively called Baihuazhou. Later, the scenic area in the entire East Lake area was also called Baihuazhou. Since the Tang Dynasty, East Lake has been a famous scenic lake. After the Ming Dynasty, it was divided into four lakes, connected by bridges and culverts. There are three small islands in the East Lake, commonly known as Sanzhou or Baihuazhou. There are Jiuqu Bridge, Baihua Bridge and Haicheng Embankment across Hutongzhou. On the island, there are famous sites such as "Shuimu Qinghua" Pavilion, Zhongshan Pavilion, Baihuazhou Pavilion, Su Nu and Cultural Relics Square. Since ancient times, literati and writers have been indispensable to beautiful places. In history, the East Lake Academy, the East Lake Painting and Calligraphy Society, and the Nanchang Camp are all located here. The decline of Baihuazhou was after the Qing Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, it became the seat of the Gongyuan, and the original ancient buildings have gradually disappeared. In 1932, it was turned into Lakeside Park, and in April 1946, it was renamed Jieshi Park. In July 1950, it was renamed Bayi Park. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the people's government has planted trees and built embankments, dredged the lake mud, and built pavilions and curved bridges, making this place a place for the people to rest.
