New York's New Landmark: Summit One Vanderbilt
📍Location: 45 E 42nd St, New York, NY 10017
🌇Highlights:
Summit One Vanderbilt, opened in 2021, is located next to Grand Central Station and is the fourth tallest building in New York at 427 meters.
The top three floors feature a 360-degree glass and mirror design, creating a sci-fi-like real-life "Inception."
The 91st and 92nd floors offer 360-degree views of New York City's skyline, with close-up views of the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building, and distant views of the World Trade Center, Times Square, and the Hudson River.
The 93rd floor is a bar and terrace where you can order a cocktail and enjoy the view.
🎫Ticket Prices:
Between $50 and $80, depending on the time of day. Sunset tickets are more expensive but also more beautiful, and definitely worth it.
🏙️Visiting Tips:
1️⃣ Be sure to buy tickets in advance, as there is a lot of uncertainty about buying tickets on site.
2️⃣ Highly recommended to buy sunset tickets. Although the price is higher than other times, you can enjoy three views at once: daytime, sunset, and nighttime, so it's definitely worth it!
3️⃣ Since the top and bottom are transparent glass, it is recommended not to wear a short skirt.
4️⃣ Since it is a one-time experience, you cannot go back. Once you leave for the next floor, you cannot go back, so be sure to fully experience each floor before going to the next one.
Summit One was the highlight of my New York City trip. The views were absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was unforgettable, and every level offered something unique. A must-visit experience in NYC.
Visiting SUMMIT One Vanderbilt was one of the best experiences of our New York trip. The views of Manhattan were absolutely breathtaking, and the mirrored art installations made the whole visit feel magical. We chose to come here during our honeymoon, and it truly added unforgettable memories to our special trip. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was unique, and the sunset view was spectacular. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC—it’s a must!
I highly recommend this spot. I experienced it both during the day and at night this year, and it was truly breathtaking. The sound and light show started from the elevator and continued all the way to the top. Every step was like Inception. It was a wonderful experience, and the photos were great too, with a panoramic view of Manhattan. You can also experience it outdoors.
It was very shocking. The music, lights and scenery were integrated with each other, and the organic superposition of multiple sensory stimulations amplified the whole experience. It gave visitors the opportunity to interact with each other, as well as with the indoor and outdoor environment. It is worth recommending.
A stunning observation deck with interesting locations (a mirror room, a room with balloons) is a must-visit. But there are a lot of people who have to stand in line.
A new check-in spot in New York, where you can see the Empire State Building and Central Park. The mirrored viewing platform is very creative, and everyone likes to play in the suspended ball room
Summit One Vanderbilt provides breathtaking panoramic views of New York City. The observation deck features both indoor and outdoor areas, with unique elements like glass-floored sky boxes and a transparent elevator called "Ascent," offering an immersive experience.
The whole experience is very cool. It has different areas for you to explore and the view on top is amazing. Before you go up, you will need to wear a protective layer over your shoes as the first area you go will be a place full of mirrors. The view at the top is where you can see the whole of NYC. I went at sunset which is really nice as you get to see the whole area turn from day to night. Another area which is really fun is where all the balls are and the kids are able to play around in the room together with the adults.
