Good stop on a longer trip
This place is a good stop in a larger trip. There are some nice lookouts. They have a good picnic area. There is a historical house to tour on the weekends.

If you like learning more about the civil war this is your chance. In school you learn about all the major battles but here you get to learn about a battle that helped West Virginia become a state.

There is not a lot to do here other than picnics, but it does have a nice overlook by the back shelter. The tour of the house was free and was an interesting part of civil war history.
