Chang'an Bridge in Qixiakeng Village, Ningbo, is a dream of a gallery bridge scattered across the countryside
Upon entering the central area of Qixiakeng Village in Fenghua, Ningbo, a paradise on earth, one can see a gallery bridge spanning across Junxi River, appearing both quaint and fashionable. This is the most famous ancient bridge in the village—Chang'an Bridge.
Chang'an Bridge, also known as Happiness Bridge, is a single-hole stone arch bridge built in the early years of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, about 280 years ago. The bridge is 18.7 meters long, 17 meters wide, and 5 meters high.
Chang'an Bridge reflects the wisdom and aesthetic views of the ancients. The bridge deck is made of cobblestones and rubble, tightly connected. There is a wooden house built on the bridge, which serves as a great shelter for villagers from the sun and rain. Inside the house, there are three Buddha statues, representing Guanyin, Weituo, and the God of the Land. On the south side of the bridge, there stands an ancient camphor tree on each side, both requiring two people to embrace and green throughout all seasons, offering a pleasant view. To the north of the bridge, there is a Guandi Temple, where the incense burns continuously every day.
Below the bridge, the water babbles, and the rock crevices are filled with lush irises, with peach trees planted on both sides of the stream. When spring comes and flowers bloom, the stream rises, the mountains are freshly green, and the peach blossoms are in full bloom, making the scenery even more superior.

I lived in Qixiakeng Village for four days on National Day. The village was very small. After 10 minutes, I mainly went to hike the ancient Qixia Road. I walked a ring road, about 8 kilometers, 4 hours. There is no scenery in Leifeng Mountain, only bamboo forests, endless steps, and countless mosquitoes. After walking, my knees will not be bent. The owner of the homestay recommended that the village go straight to Banling and return to the original road. This section has scenery and streams, and you can take your children to play. During the National Day, other attractions are overcrowded, and there are few people here, suitable for punching in on holidays.
This time I lived in Xikou Town for three days. In addition to skiing, I wanted to go to the ancient village in the mountains to see. I planned to start from Xikou Town and drive to the ring road of Qixiakeng Village, Lijiakeng Village and Maoyu Village. Maoyu Village has no villages, they are all ancient trees, and they cannot be compared. Qixia Keng feels much better than Lijia Keng. Of course, it is a little smaller, but it is more quiet and real, the scenery is very quiet, it is very recommended!
