Lugu Lake / A breathtaking paradise! The clouds of Yunnan are not only floating in the sky but also drifting in the water. If you like tranquility, you can come to Lugu Lake to watch the white clouds flow by and time pass. You can also take a pig trough boat operated by the local Mosuo people to get close to the clusters of white flowers on the water surface. Its scientific name is Potamogeton crispus, and people jokingly call it 'water heartbreaker'. In fact, it does not drift with the waves; its roots firmly grasp the lakebed. Among Yunnan's nine plateau lakes, it is most commonly found in Lugu Lake because only the clearest lake water can retain it.

Lugu Lake's window is so beautiful that I don't want to go home At Lugu Lake, a window is a natural framing device, square and straightforward, a painting by nature itself, with countless beautiful scenes in full view, and never tiring to look at. Throughout the seasons, the distant Goddess Mountain sometimes reveals its majestic grandeur, while at other times it is shrouded in mist, mysterious and unpredictable. In the changing seasons, what remains unchanged is the lake's water, still clear and blue. And nearby, the dancing shadows of trees reflect the green of spring and the yellow of autumn on the lake surface, at that moment, the phrase 'the forest is dyed in layers' seems to be visualized. One day in April, I happened to look up and saw a rainbow stretching across the lake over the mountains, the scene I casually captured with my camera, who knows how many months it will be before I encounter it again. Lugu Lake's window view may not be so extreme, but it's like a cup of clear tea, simple with a hint of freehand brushwork, leaving a lasting impression.

| Until I went to Lugu Lake... If you ask me, what is the most worthwhile place to visit in Yunnan? I would answer without hesitation---Lugu Lake Vast colorful forests, stunningly tranquil blue waters, flocks of seagulls, light clouds and breezes, it's not an overstatement to call it the romantic ceiling of early winter! This winter, take a trip to Lugu Lake, that blue will heal you for a long, long time... Just came back from Lugu Lake, let me share my thoughts. Some people say it's worth the visit, while others regret going. In my opinion, when it comes to travel, no matter what others say, those are their experiences. You can only truly understand the feeling by experiencing it yourself. I visited during the off-season in March, there were no blooming pear flowers, but I still found it incredibly beautiful, especially when seeing the gradient from emerald green to deep blue, all of us exclaimed 'wow'. The only downside of Lugu Lake, I feel, is the distance. It takes 4 hours one way from Lijiang Ancient Town to Lugu Lake, and if you add a chartered car to circle the lake + a ride on a pig trough boat, it's 5 hours. A round trip in one day is very tiring, so it's best to arrange a two-day and one-night stay for Lugu Lake. Transportation: There is an official bus from Lijiang Ancient Town to Lugu Lake, see my last picture, it's only a few dozen yuan, don't carpool or take illegal taxis. Chartered car around the lake: If needed, the bus driver can arrange for a driver from the same company for you, the lake is 70km around, 200 yuan, fits 4 people, so it's only 50 per person. You can find people to share the ride on the bus. Pig trough boat: The price is in the second to last picture, quite expensive. We chose route 3, but there was no sea of flowers/grass sea in March, we just visited the Princess Island. If you can't find people to share the boat, don't bother booking it during the off-season, it's not cost-effective. Accommodation: We stayed at 'Lugu Lake Pusu Mijing Homestay', the environment and service were quite good. As for accommodation, everyone can choose on their own, there are many such homestays along the lake.

The forest resources are rich, the mountains are clear and the water is beautiful, the air is fresh, the scenery is charming, the numerous small islands in the lake are different in shape, the trees are lush, like jade inlaid in the lake, the water and the sky are the same color, clear as a mirror, Lugu Lake is regarded by the local Mosuo people as the "Mother Lake".
