Less than 10 minutes walk from Obuse Station. A small museum I happened to find on the way to Obuse Museum. On the left side of the restaurant of Sakurai Kanseido, Izumisutei, at the end of a narrow passage between a beautiful Japanese garden and a wall. Free admission. The works of Japanese painters are exhibited in the exhibition room with only one room remodeled from the dozo. There are no works by famous painters, but it is a museum that suits the atmosphere of Obuse.

Follow the arrows on the signboard that says "Chestnut Tree Museum" and you will find a beautifully maintained Japanese garden. It is an open garden where you can freely see it.
