I went there because there was a guide board.

The letter carved on the stone is "Kodamon Toe Monument". I found a guide on the bus street, climbed the stairs, and there was a small high (5 m) "Kodamon earthwork". It was a soil mound with just a large tree. After passing there, I went to "Ohoribata Dori Street". During this time, it was ranked 50 m. There was a square monument = stone of 60 cmx 120 cmx 100 cm. I've been there for many years, but I tried it for the first time. I don't know the history, but it's a super local place.
Do you know "Kodamon Monument"? A few minutes walk south from Odawara Station toward the castle ruins park, will it be on the north side of the moat of the castle ruins park? There is a monument and a sign explaining it. Odawara Castle was attacked by Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda during the period of Hojo 3 Dai Ujiyasu, but it is said that it was attacked by Kodamon in particular. And it is also known as an impregnable castle that is not invaded by Ninomaru but does not fall. That's why it can be said to be a historically important gate. ...

On the way from the station to Odawara Castle, a sign suddenly appears in the shopping street. It was unexpected, but I was curious and decided to stop by. It's the site of Kodamon, but what you should see here is the site of the earthworks. The earthworks are from Sannomaru of Odawara Castle in the Edo period. A part of the earthworks remains here. You can walk through it, so let's step in.
The earthworks of the Kodaguchi gate site retain the remnants of those days.

It is on the left side of Horibata-dori on the way from Odawara Station to Odawara Castle. During the Sengoku period, Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda attacked Odawara Castle Kodaguchi Gate, but they could not capture Odawara Castle. It was good to see the remnants of the earthworks of Kodaguchi Monzeki at that time.
If you walk around Odawara Castle, there are many interesting places. Even though this Kodamon ruins monument in front of Oboribata-dori is only a stone monument, you can see the size of its existence. As a countermeasure against the battle, you can also see the earthworks that were connected to the castle for many kilometers from the Renjoin earthworks.
