Beautiful to walk along the river or take a boat cruise along the river during cherry blossom time. Absolutely beautiful!!

Delayed Sakura bloom

We came here on 1 April 2024 to see Sakura but unfortunately it is still too early and the river cruise turned out to be rather disappointing. I think it will take another week to see the full bloom.

Beautiful river

This is a beautiful river which you could talk a stroll along the river at the Minamitenma Park to enjoy the river view. Be sure to check out the Nakanoshima rose garden and park as well.

★夜桜の一枝長き水の上（高野素十）

2022年4月3日開業の「ホテル京阪 天満橋駅前」に投宿して、夕方食事がてら大川沿いの花見にでかけました。 天満橋から源八橋までの両岸をゆっくりと歩きました。花見船が往来して楽しそうでした。 暮れなずむ花の風情も川沿いは格別でした。 翌日は文楽『義経千本桜』を楽しみました。
