One of the things my wife and I like about Herzog Winery is that they make a wide range of wines, all of which are good, and at a wide range of prices. The range of wines allows a different tasting experience each time we visit. On this visit, we particularly liked the Sauvignon Blanc, which is not sharp, and the Choreograph, which is a field blend of ten varietals, but the Malbec was among the best wines we've tasted -- and we've tasted in over 200 wineries in eight states. Occasionally we encounter a wine that evokes an intense pleasurable response, and this Malbec was one of those. It would be hard to find a better wine at the price, and it would be even harder to find a better wine at twice the price. Note that the winery is closed on Saturdays for religious observance, but it's worth the effort to fit it into the schedule on another day
