Panmunjom is the name of a village between Kaesong and Seoul. In the past, people here used wooden planks to cover the shops for travelers traveling between Kaesong and Seoul, and called them Panmunjom. Over time, this title became a place name. At a post before entering the demilitarized zone, an officer of the Korean People's Army will give tourists a brief introduction to the geography of the Panmunjom area and the direction of the military demarcation line, and remind some precautions after entering the demilitarized zone. Then, the tourists came to a small courtyard by car. There are two buildings there, one is the Armistice Negotiation Conference Hall. Another building is the Armistice Signing Field. After coming out of this courtyard, and then traveling by car, we arrived at the Panmunjom Common Guard Area, which has attracted the attention of the world. Only then did we arrive at the real Panmunjom. Panmunjom is located in the southeast of Kaicheng, 8 kilometers away from the city center. On July 27, 1953, the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed here, and Panmunjom became known to the world. It is not only a testimony to the three-year tragic Korean War, but also a symbol of ethnic division on the Korean peninsula. There is a meeting place for the Korean Armistice Negotiations to sign the Armistice Agreement, and there are the Military Armistice Committee Conference Room and the Neutral Nations Supervisory Committee Conference Room on the demarcation line. With the dividing line as the boundary, the north and the south each have their own sentries. Tourists visiting Panmunjom are really just visiting the meeting room of the Military Armistice Commission. There is one door at each end of the meeting room. When the tourist of the party enters the conference room, the door of the other party will be closed. The local security guard will stand in front of the door to prevent tourists from going out into the other area. The tables and chairs in the conference room are arranged as they are. Seven wooden single-storey buildings, including the Conference Room of the Military Armistice Commission and the Neutral Nations Supervisory Committee, are lined up in a row. Among them, three blue buildings were built by the DPRK and China and managed by the DPRK and China, and four white buildings are " It was built by the United Nations Army and managed by the United Nations Army. A cement marking line with a width of about 50 cm and a height of about 5 cm runs across the middle of these buildings, becoming a sacred military demarcation line.
Tourism in North Korea has become a mode of modern defense education, which is helpful for understanding the history of "resisting the United States and aiding the DPRK". The military policy of the first military, suffering the soldiers of North Korea, they must be ready to die for the country at any time, such a life is really sad.
Panmundian has a special place, some people stand guard, the scenery is good, the architectural style is unique, the price is super high, feel the atmosphere and environment in Panmundian, feel good, it is worth seeing.
At the scene of the Panmunjom Armistice Agreement, there are many pictures of the two armies fighting together on the Korean battlefield, and there are pictures of captured American troops. While watching each historical photo carefully, the heart is full of respect for the soldiers who went to the Korean War.
We went to the military dividing line 24 kilometers south of the 38th line, which is what we usually call Panmunjom. This may be our "heavy play" in North Korea this time, but unfortunately, in several buildings, we did not see the "five-star red flag" or see the traces of volunteer troops, it seems that the great achievements of "anti-US and aid to the DPRK" are forgotten. But we did not make a fuss, we also felt the same in Vietnam, in the museum in Hanoi, there is no trace of China's "anti-US aid to Vietnam", the world, only common interests, no common goals, "everything is in the mouth".
For the Chinese, they do not know the volunteer army, do not know that there are not many people who resist the United States and aid the DPRK, unless they are still small and have no historical knowledge. When I went to North Korea to travel, I didn’t go to Panmunjom. I just wanted to see how the volunteer army fish and the Korean side negotiated with the US ghosts. It backfired. Today’s Panmunjom is not ordinary. The original volunteer army has not been opened at all. Or, how can I not even have a photo? The Korean War was fought by North Korea itself, and nothing happened to China without us? So what do we see?
The 38 line we are talking about is actually in North Korea, a distance south is the real military dividing line. At Kaesong, we visited the Korean War negotiations and signing places. The atmosphere in Kaesong streets is more serious than Pyongyang, and closer to the Chinese street scene of the 1970s. In Panmen Pavilion, you can see the South Korean Freedom Pavilion opposite. In North Korea, you can't take military photos at will, but there are military personnel in Panmen Pavilion who can take pictures together.
A nation has the most bitter and tearful history. Human society is always so twisted and twisted here that we can see and feel all of this for ourselves. The closest distance in the world, but no one in front of us has ever said a word.
