Interact with elephants in Phuket, Thailand! Highly recommend these two elephant camps!
Elephant camps are a unique experience in Thailand, especially for family trips. Unlike traditional zoos, Thai elephant camps focus on elephant conservation, allowing elephants to exhibit their natural behaviors in a spacious environment. Here, you can interact with elephants, become a mahout for a day, feed and bathe elephants, enjoy a mud bath spa, make paper from elephant dung, and more. Highly recommend these two elephant camps in Phuket!
Phuket Elephant Sanctuary: Located near Bang Tao Beach, it takes 40 minutes from Patong Beach. You can book a pick-up service in advance from anywhere on the island. The camp is huge, covering over 100,000 square meters, with a great environment. They provide a set of Thai ethnic costumes and free photography throughout the experience. There is a Chinese guide to explain everything. Activities include making food for elephants, walking with elephants in the forest, taking photos, mud spa, elephant painting, elephant bathing, and cooking Thai food. Thai chefs will teach you how to make Thai food, usually papaya salad and pad Thai, which are classic dishes. The cooking process is very relaxing and fun. These two dishes are also included in lunch. Although other dishes are delicious, you will have a special preference for your own creations. After the experience, you will receive a souvenir made from elephant dung, which makes you feel recognized!
Phuket Maewang Khao Elephant Sanctuary: Very close to Phuket Town, only a 20-minute drive. At the beginning of the activity, the staff will ask everyone to wear the same camp uniform and explain the relevant precautions and elephant habits in detail. The Chinese guide is very humorous and will say many witty words, making the whole journey full of laughter. Later, there will be activities such as giving elephants a mud bath, playing with elephants in the water, walking with elephants in the jungle, taking photos, making protein balls, tie-dyeing, and having a Thai buffet for lunch. You can choose the ingredients that elephants like to make protein grass balls to help elephants digest. After the trip, you will also receive a volunteer certificate, making it a fulfilling day!
I will 100% recommend to everyone. We had a wonderful time with the elephants 2 baby and 3 adults. The time was perfectly reasonable and good enough. We took a lot of pictures and videos. The environment is well managed and clean. The coffee is good as well and the little tote bag as a free souvenir is very cute. We will definitely come back again! 👍🏼👏🏼
This is a really fun activity! You'll feed the elephants and even bathe them. Even if you go alone, staff will take photos for you. The Chinese-speaking guide is especially entertaining. You can definitely check it out!
It was a delightful trip where we spent two hours with the gentlest creatures, the elephants. Wonderful animals, and the park staff were wonderful and friendly.
The most worthwhile experience in Phuket❤️ ✨Rich activities There are interactive activities such as making food for elephants, feeding, walking, graffiti, mud bath, bathing, and cultural experiences such as Thai cuisine making. ✨Good protection concept Refuse to ride elephant performances, rescue elephants, and let them live naturally. Our participation is to support the cause of animal protection. ✨Thoughtful service Free pick-up and drop-off throughout the island, professional follow-up, and the guide is super patient. ✨The first choice for parent-child travel It is very educational, can cultivate children's awareness of animal protection, good play experience, interesting activities, and can also exercise children's interactive ability.
Went there on the 28th, recommended to go with my friends and their families, I have been here twice, so I recommend it to my friends. Not many people, there will be more people on holidays. Overall, nothing to say, as always! [Scenery] The cleanest and tidy elephant camp I have ever been to [Fun] Full of experience, the photographer is awesome [Value for money] Although the price is not cheap, it is worthy of this service
Naidi Elephant Camp is worth recommending. The service is very good. There will be follow-up filming. Not only did we interact with the elephants, but we also experienced the making of Thai food on the spot. The explanation was in Chinese. The chef also demonstrated it in person and gave us a taste of it. After eating, we went to bathe the elephants. We used a brush to bathe the elephants in a small pool, then splashed water and took photos with the elephants one by one.
I spent a magical day in the elephant camp. The tour guides here were not scripted, and the interaction with everyone was full of enthusiasm and fun. The elephants here were also very relaxed and comfortable, doing what they like. In the elephant camp, I had close contact with nature and I especially want to go again.
I brought my kids here, not many people, the experience was great, the tour guide, Brother Pichai, was very humorous, very good at taking care of kids, and very good at taking photos. He spoke very good Chinese, and he is Chinese. The venue was also very clean. I thought elephants would smell bad, but the elephants here didn't have any odor. My kids even chatted with international friends boldly. Highly recommended!
