6. Helpful Tips
1. Transportation: It’s recommended to take taxis or rent a car; downloading local ride-hailing apps is more convenient. Renting a motorbike requires an international driver’s license and obeying traffic rules.
2. Sun Protection: The island’s UV rays are strong, so bring high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat.
3. Currency: Some places accept Alipay, but it’s advisable to carry some Thai baht cash for night market purchases.
4. Etiquette: Dress appropriately when entering temples; avoid shorts and sleeveless tops. Show respect to monks and never touch anyone’s head.
Get your bags ready and head to Phuket’s sunshine and sea breeze! May your journey be full of surprises and wonderful moments~ 🌴
Watched the Phuket FantaSea show again after more than 10 years — same performance, same high standard, and still just as magical! Truly worth a visit. 💫
It was an amazing show, where you can find not only professional traditional dancers, but acrobatic scenes and trained animals on the stage. Pyrotechnics and electronic effects make this legend of Kamala Prince alive and modern. I arrived just to the time of the show and haven’t explored the environment well, but I noticed that it was quite old and shops around mostly were filled with very cheap stuff, that gives you feeling that you are back in 2000s. But anyway, I recommend the show! P.S.: you can’t take any photos inside of performance hall, they will take your cameras away and store in special storages.
Great experiences show. Enough for spend whole night there.
I went there last night and booked a golden ticket plus a shuttle bus for 340 per person. It was booked by Ctrip. It arrived in 10 minutes from Patong. The driver's driving skills were very skilled. When I arrived at FantaSea, it looked very spectacular from the outside. After entering the park, it was okay inside. I watched the big tiger (the tiger was very lazy and always lay down. I guess it was fed and well treated). The rest of the park was all consumer products. There was an elephant ride product, which was very expensive at 1,000 baht per time. It was not recommended. Then there was the restaurant. You can get food when you book a ticket. You don't need to order a regular meal ticket alone (some words are omitted here). The dining place is really spectacular. It is a big place where you can eat and rest while waiting for the show. The entrance starts at 20:30. No equipment with cameras is allowed to be brought in. Everyone knows. The performance is really shocking, especially when the elephants appear and the cannons are used to attack the city. Children should be careful because they are easily scared. The whole performance is very compact. It didn't feel like an hour. It is recommended to walk faster when leaving, otherwise you have to queue up if you wait for the car outside, but it will only take about 10 minutes to get on the car.
I had high expectations before going there, but was extremely disappointed when I got there. It took an hour to reach the destination. After seeing the exterior, I thought it was a scenic spot that combines entertainment and religious culture. Only after I went in did I realize that it was not that, it was purely commercial, nakedly commercial, and a very low-level one at that. As soon as you enter the door, you will see various stalls selling small handicrafts from the 1990s in China. There is a stall that specializes in making world-famous football team logos using gold powder. In order to attract Chinese tourists, Evergrande and Beijing Guoan are placed in prominent positions. The toilet at the small bar at the entrance is very interesting. It is very creepy when you first go in. At each urinal, there is a bull head with two lighted eyes staring at you while you pee. The sink is also a bull head. When you turn on the faucet, water flows out of the bull's nose. The only thing worth seeing in the park is the tiger kingdom at the entrance, which is similar to the mazes in domestic scenic spots. It is an indoor fantasy scene created by lighting effects, and at the end you can see a sleeping white tiger. Other projects are basically shops. No matter how magnificent they look from the outside, once you go in, you’ll find they’re all selling things...there is no place for entertainment or leisure. It's that direct. The only entertainment available is the paid entertainment such as darts and basketball machines, which are similar to those in our country. Who comes to Thailand to play this? Before watching the evening singing and dancing show, we went to eat at the buffet restaurant as it was included in the package. I was shocked by the amazing exterior and interior decoration, but it did not match the food seriously. Finally, speaking of the performances, the only highlights might be the elephants and tigers. But these animals are so pitiful. As long as money is spent, they can be controlled at will. During the performance, mobile phones and cameras must be handed in and collected by the staff. Users can pick them up after the performance. The entire performance could not be recorded, and to be honest there wasn’t much to record, maybe I just didn’t know how to appreciate it.
From the moment we walked in the door the show was money, money, money. This kind of show - I've seen better for free on cruise ships. Nothing I can recommend here. My friend fell asleep within 5 minutes of walking in. You also have to hand in all camera equipment including cell phones and was told they are not responsible for equipment collected or damaged. Spend your money elsewhere.
Fantasea is spectacular entertainment for the whole family or couples dating or newlyweds on honeymoon. Prepare enough time to take 100s of photos in and around the Elephant Theater! plenty of restaurants available and the buffet is great value for money!
This attraction is a nice place with lots of places to take pictures, lots of souvenir shops etc. I would have given a better rating if it wasn't for the show. While the show was great and the staff and performers were well trained, the show used too many animals, especially the elephants.
