Dawei Mountain Scenic Area is located in Pingbian County, a border county in southern Yunnan, about 10 kilometers away from Pingbian County. It consists of Dawei Mountain area, the Pingbian line of Yunnan-Vietnam Railway and the Xinxian River line, and 19 scenic spots covering an area of about 50 square kilometers. The landscape is dominated by relatively complete tropical and subtropical virgin forests, biological species diversity, and rare and endangered animal and plant landscape resources. Show More ReviewsThe ascent up the mountain involved a series of seemingly hopeless steps, and it was a bit chilly during the Lunar New Year holiday. The area below was shrouded in mist, resembling a game world or the movie "The Mist," but!!! The sun came out shortly after we entered the mountain, revealing a sea of clouds—the scenery was absolutely stunning! Different plants offered different kinds of beauty, making for a very enriching experience. I'll definitely come back next time.
