Porto Walkers

My walking tour of Porto took us to so many fun places, including the birthplace of Hogwarts! In Porto you can find the cafe and bookstore where JK Rowling began drafting the Harry Potter series (although there are such long lines and waitlists that I couldn’t get in), and you will find students wearing the black capes, which inspired the Hogwarts uniforms. Additionally, walking around Porto, you will find beautiful blue tile artwork and amazing food - don’t miss the famous Portuguese egg tarts!

A free walking Tour is the best way to start exploring a European city nowaday. I enjoyed a lot the one offered by Porto Walkers, that actually organize also many drink and food tours.

This is a great 'free' walking tour of Porto. It was recommended to me by a fellow traveller, and I think it seemed by far the best on offer in Porto. They run quite a few during the day, and the groups are reasonably sized meaning you get to interact with each other and the guide. My guide was friendly and knowledgeable, showing the city of Porto in an interesting way and highlighting most of the main sights during the few hours we had. You just tip at the end what you feel the tour was worth, and this is great for those wanting to see Porto on a budget.
