Lianfengyunhai Scenic Spot

Lianfeng Yunhai is located in the south of Qingyang County, Chizhou City, about 7 or 8 kilometers away from the county seat. It belongs to the back mountain of Jiuhua Mountain Range. The main peak, Lianhua Peak, is one of the nine peaks of Jiuhua Mountain Range. It is the highest peak in Lianfeng Yunhai Attraction, with an altitude of 1,048 meters. However, Lianfeng Yunhai and Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area are not the same Attraction. Lianfeng Yunhai is on the north side of Jiuhua Mountain, and the gates of the two are more than ten kilometers apart. Compared with the fame of Jiuhua Mountain, Lianfeng Yunhai is still kept in the boudoir, very quiet, with many strange peaks and rocks on the mountain, and waterfalls to be seen. Because it is surrounded by clouds and fog all year round, it is called "Lianfeng Yunhai". The mountain road in the Attraction is in the shape of "8", going up the mountain from one side and down the other side, without having to go back. After entering the gate of the Attraction, if you go up the mountain from the right side, first walk a section of asphalt road. At the end of the road is a huge stone formation, where you can enjoy the red leaves of the woods beside the stone in autumn. From here, you will walk along the steps and pass the Sutra Cave. You will bend down and follow a path to enter the cave. There are stone tables and stone chairs in the cave. The poet monk Xitan of the Southern Song Dynasty once meditated here. Climb for a few more minutes and you will reach the Gan Lao Stone, which is believed by the locals. It is said that burning some paper under the stone to pray for the cure of diseases is very effective. Continue to climb up and you can hear the sound of streams and waterfalls. First you will see small waterfalls, and then you will see a tall waterfall, which is the Shizikou Waterfall. Generally, tourists go down the mountain after reaching the Shizikou Waterfall and walk down to a platform. You can overlook the pastoral scenery below the mountain from the Wangyang Pavilion on the side. Looking back at the top of the mountain, there are various strangely shaped stones. The most dangerous one is "Dharma facing the wall", some look like monkeys watching the waves, and some look like the East China Sea turtle. At the foot of the mountain, you can go to the folk museum that looks like Hui-style houses to visit photos, posters, root carvings, Qingyang peasant paintings during the Cultural Revolution, and learn about the history and farming tools of Qingyang County. In addition, there are Jingxin Ancient Temple, which was built entirely of stone in the 18th year of Ming Chenghua (1480 AD), Yuantong Temple, which has an exquisite jade reclining Buddha statue over 8 meters long, and other temples that can be visited. It takes about 2.5 hours to walk around the Attraction if you play fast. Shizikou Waterfall is located at the intersection of two circles of the "8"-shaped mountain road in the Attraction, which is a sign of walking on the mountain road. There is a road leading to the top of the mountain above the waterfall. Generally, tourists only play the circle below the "8". The circle above is very large. It takes a whole day to count the time to go down the mountain after reaching the top of the mountain. There is no place to stay on the top of the mountain. Generally, only hikers and backpackers will continue to climb up. If you want to watch the sunrise, you can already see it at Shizikou Waterfall. Of course, the effect will be better the further you go to the top of the mountain, and you can also see the sea of ​​clouds. There is a four-star hotel in the Attraction, Lianfeng Yunhai Hotel, located at the foot of the mountain, with a large pond in front of it. If you are looking for sunrise or want to climb higher on the mountain, you can come and stay at the hotel at night, climb the mountain before daybreak, watch the sunrise as high as possible, and then try to reach the summit. Do it according to your ability and manage the time to go down the mountain.
