The Steam Locomotive Museumbis located in the Triaj area of Resita and is one of the most attractive destinations. It offers visitors a journey into the historical world locomotives and holds a valuable collection of precious pieces. It was inaugurated in 1972, at the inițiative of the factory director, Mircea Popa, a century after the first locomotive ( 1872), namrd "Resicza", was built in the factory wokshops here. Today it owns 16 locomotives, only two of which are manufacturated outside the town. The museum is open-air and can be visited st any time of the year, and is unique and elegant.It's a sight worth seeing and including in your itinerary, so make a point of visiting it yourself.
