I didn't know this attraction when I made the trip, and I went to the restaurant according to the guide recommendation. The attraction did not open the door, just took pictures and punched in the surrounding area, and read some text and pictures. The building was the site of the 1986 Reagan-Gorbachev talks, so the talks marked the end of the Cold War, so the building has a special significance.

Hofdi House( Hofdi Building) is a beautiful white villa by the sea in Reykjavik, a very meaningful house. The US and Soviet armistice agreement is here, so it is a landmark building for the end of the Cold War. Trip.com arranged for us to have lunch opposite it. The scenery around the house is very good, walk along the beach, see the sculptures, blow the sea breeze.
As always, I have recommended it to my friends!
Hofdi Building, where Reagan and Gorbachev met in secret in Iceland in October 1986, is actually a small, ordinary villa, just a little historical, similar to the site of the Chinese Communist Party Congress in Shanghai.
The building is of great historical significance, once the French consulate in Iceland, where the Cold War ended with the former Soviet Union and the United States held secret meetings here. The building itself is closed and inaccessible, surrounded by coastlines and meadows, and a Berlin Wall can be seen next to the meadow, a gift from Germany to Iceland. This area is Iceland's "Bank Street", which houses several major banks, accounting firms, Microsoft and other companies in Iceland. But there are no high-rise buildings, all are "Icelandic" lazy ground floor buildings, but also have a special interest.
