Liang Zhu’s Hometown

Liangzhu Town, Runan County, Henan Province is the place where the legend of Liang Zhu happened. It is known as Liang Zhu's hometown. The so-called "Festival of Sending Lanterns" means that on the evening of the day when Liang Zhu and his wife turned into butterflies (it is said to be the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month), people from a radius of hundreds of miles spontaneously rushed to Liang Zhushuang's tomb to send lanterns to Liang Zhu.
