The Confucian Temple of Zhangzhou is located on the east side of Wangxu Road of Zhangzhou City. It covers an area of about 22 mu. It is originally a temple of Wangxutang in the Yuan Dynasty. It was converted into a Confucian Temple (Xuegong) in the three years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1370 AD). It has been rebuilt for more than 600 years. The Confucian Temple is 325 meters north and south, 40 meters east and west, and the area is about 13,000 square meters. The buildings in the courtyard are arranged in an orderly manner, and the central axis is obvious. The overall building is based on the ancient buildings such as Qisheng Palace, Dacheng Palace, Wenmingfang, Dachengfang, and Dachengfang. The east and west corridors are arranged symmetrically. There are Minglun Hall, Dachengfang, Wenmingfang, Dacheng Palace, Qisheng Palace, Mingshi Palace, Xiangxianxuan, East and West corridor houses and other Ming and Qing buildings more than 100, reasonable layout, preserved intact.
