33 degrees north latitude observatory / Nishikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture [Walking] Viewpoint where you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the Goto Islands
Original Text
The 33-degree north latitude observatory is a scenic spot located in Hongo, Sakito-cho, Saikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture. As the name suggests, it is located 33 degrees north latitude and overlooks the Goto Islands and Hirado Islands. On November 18, 2021, I saw the Shitsukyokaido on this day. From there, drive on National Highway 202. Cross the Oshima Bridge. This will leave the mainland of Kyushu and drive on a remote island. Crossing from Terashima to Oshima. In addition, Kakiura Island (Kaki no Ura ...)
It seems to be the same latitude as Casablanca. When you come to such an endless land, you will think of it in the distance. The sea breeze is pleasant and the best in summer!
To get to the observatory, you have to go ahead of the hotel. I didn't think about where to park the car, so I went ahead of the hotel parking lot and managed to stop. Since there is a straight road ahead, the tip of the road is the observatory. There was also a Navy watchtower on the right side of the way. It was mid-October, but it was a hot day over 25 °, but I tried to illuminate the island 々 with the map I brought in one hand. There was also a voice code called Uni-Voice.
I like to see old historic sites, so I went to see the former Japanese Navy watchdog at the 33-degree north latitude observatory. It was well preserved, but the building itself was not so spectacular.
A short walk from the parking lot to the observatory. It is highly recommended in a place where you can worship a pretty spectacular view. I think it's good at dusk.
