it's a work of art from the homma family.

As expected, it is a work of art from the Honma family, which was a wealthy merchant from the Edo period to the prewar period. It's an on-parade of famous authors in Japan. Some works are not allowed to be photographed, but I'm glad that most of them can be photographed. As for my personal affairs, I was happy to see the work of "Ono Dojo" that was also published in "Sanada Taiheiki (sakushotaro Ikenami)".
A museum of Honma-sama, a landlord in the Shonai region. JR It is also within walking distance from Sakata Station. You can enjoy the garden along with the museum. The hall is not very large, but it was nice to have a lot of Oriental artworks and look around with colors.
I was expecting it as a museum with a collection of the wealthy merchant Honma family, but honestly I was disappointed because there was nothing that could be said to be the highlight of the exhibition, such as hanging scrolls and fan paintings. It's small in scale and it doesn't take 15 minutes if you just take a quick look around. The actual performance here is Mr. Honma's villa garden "Tsurumaien" and the guest house "Seienkaku". The "Tsurumaien", which is a pond spring strolling garden, is not so large, but it is well maintained and splendid. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy sky when I visited, but if it was sunny, Mt. Chokai ...
