Three Gorges Dam

The main dam of Sanmenxia Dam is a concrete gravity dam, the dam is713.2 meters long, and the dam is 106 meters high; the sub-dam is a reinforced concrete core wall, 144 meters long, and the dam is 24 meters high. The power station is the back-dam type, the full length is 223.88 meters.

It can be reached by tourist line from the city and take the white bus to the scenic spot on Jianshe Road. The ticket price is 4 yuan (the first bus is 8:30); the latest bus from the dam to the city is 18:30. It is a reservoir sightseeing tour of the scenic spots and artificial landscape built on the first dam of the Yellow River - Sanmenxia Dam. Sanmenxia Yellow River Dam is located in Shanxi Province to the north and Shaanxi Province to the west. It is called the "Golden Triangle" in western Henan. Sanmenxia Yellow River Dam is the first large-scale water conservancy project built in the main current of the Yellow River in China.

It is rumored that Daqi ruled the water, wielding the axe to split the mountains into three canyons of "human gate", "shen gate" and "ghost gate", leading the water of the Yellow River to the east, and Sanmenxia was named after it.
