If you are in Florida and looking for a (Off) Broadway Show, Asolo Rep is the place to go.
This is the 65th anniversary season of the ASOLO Repertory Theatre in Sarasota. We saw 'Crazy for you'. It was one of the most professional "Off-Broadway" productions that I have seen to date as I have seen shows in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis New York, and Miami and they have not matched up as to scenery, costuming, lighting, orchestra, etc. Even with understudies filling in some major parts, this show and setting were spectacular. The theater, itself, is a masterpiece, created during the Ringling era. A conservatory between the supporters of the Rep Theater and Florida State University have provided a marriage between classical academic training and a professional regional theater company.
