The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, located at the junction of Tennessee and North Carolina, has about 10 million tourists every year and is the most visited national park in the United States. In 1983, UNESCO listed the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as a natural heritage and included it in the World Heritage List. The park covers an area of 200,000 hectares, and since it has not been destroyed by humans, it provides a relatively favorable environment for plants to grow. It is home to 3,500 species of plants and many endangered animals, especially where the world's largest group of salamanders is found. It is not only rich in natural heritage, but also has a long cultural history. Here you can learn about the way of life of early peasant families and communities living in the southern Appalachian Mountains. Many historic buildings still stand, and 97 historic buildings are concentrated in 5 areas, including: lumberjack sheds, barns, churches, rice mills and various other outdoor structures. However, these ancestors changed from difficult survival to predatory development. The logging industry almost destroyed the original forest in this area, and restoration has become the theme of today. Parks provide unique resources for outdoor recreation. You can stroll through the greenery and hike in the backcountry. Camping, fishing, outings, horseback riding, or just beautiful scenery are all great ways to relax. Four seasons are good seasons for traveling here. The mountains are blooming in spring, camping by the cool stream in summer, the leaves flying in autumn, and the quiet and pleasant in winter. The blue sky is always a very good reason for sightseeing.
My Husband & I Took A Mini Getaway Here & I Must Say The Sight Is To Die For
The Great Smoky Mountain Park is conveniently located with three entrances to the east, south and west, all of which are connected to the road. Each road intersects with the park road at different locations. The park road can be opened by car for self-driving tours, and there are also walking trails for hiking or horse riding tours.
The scenery is beautiful. I saw a lot of wildlife in autumn, turkeys, cattle, horses, deer, squirrels, and big black bears! A worthwhile trip. Driving to see the scenery throughout the whole journey, no walk.
Go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to see the red leaves, set off early in the morning to encounter a turtle crossing the highway, drove 3 hours to the small town of North Kacheroki, Panshan Road slowly climbed to the highest point of the Great Smoky Mountain Clingmans Dome standing in the clouds and mist... It is said that autumn is the last flowering period of trees every year, and life is blooming. It is so beautiful.
Finally played in the Great Wushan National Park. I went to the visitor center to get the map and went to Laura Fall in Gatlinburg. I thought this waterfall was as far as yesterday. Who knew it had been climbing for a long time, but the waterfall was much more beautiful than yesterday.
I have been to Yellowstone before, and this time I came to the East to see Great Smoky. The place where 10 [%] of the trees burned down by the 2016 wildfires is gradually overgrown, and it is just as spring breezes are reborn. Look at the scenery, it is also very interesting to walk the Appalachian trails. After waiting for a while at the observation deck, I felt that I should have photographed the effect of smoke and fog in the distance.
