博物馆由Alexandre Brongniart于十九世纪初创建，里面很多是由他各个时期各个国家带回的陶瓷器展品。今天的游客可以在此尽情欣赏长期展品，参观不定期展览，或者进入陶瓷制作坊小试身手。
赛雷斯陶瓷博物馆，这里收藏于有中国传递到这里的陶瓷制作工艺，而且还有个中国还有其他国家制陶瓷，而且他的真品，都有收藏。
国家陶瓷博物馆有很多陶瓷的工艺品，陶瓷的艺术很丰富，巨大的陶瓷需要很多物料雕琢。
