🍻 My girlfriends are stationed in China, and I don’t live at home. I live in the big house that the company rents to him. Next to it is the “Laowai Street”, so there is a reason for foreigners to gather here. I just went to her house and passed by. The weather was bad and it was daytime, so I didn’t show the characteristics. 🍻 The reason why it is called "101 Laowai Street" is that this 101 has a head: here was once a section of Chairman Mao's 101 train line. With the development of urban construction, the 101 special line railway has been deactivated, retaining the locomotive of the special train at the end of the foreign street, and the old factory buildings have been transformed into international restaurants and bars. 🍻 In the street of just about 500 meters, there are many foreign restaurants and bars, and it is said that most of the store owners are locals, so the food may be more authentic. I don’t like Western food. My girlfriends arranged dinner here and it was exempt. It’s too “squeaky” at night. Not suitable for chatting. 🍻 This street is still at the junction of the two districts of Shanghai, Minhang District and Changning District. It is an interesting place, a place with history, a place where world food is gathered, and a place where lights are shining at night.

The old foreign street was very lively. At night, the restaurant had seats outside. It was eating and chatting. The popularity recently was getting lower and lower. There were no people. The restaurant was open for a long time and there was nothing new.
Chinese food in the street mainly includes Shanghai cuisine, southern Fujian cuisine, Xinjiang cuisine and other 6 major cuisine restaurants, foreign dining mainly includes Japan, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, the United States, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Greece and other 14 countries theme restaurants and bars 23. Another reason for its attention is that it was once a section of Chairman Mao's 101 train line. 🚂 With the development of urban construction, the 101 train line has been deactivated, and the old factory buildings have been transformed into international restaurants and bars. Shanghai "Laowai Street" scenic spot, originally called Hongmei Road Leisure Street, about 500 meters long street, two ends are linked to Hongxu Road and Hongmei Road. Leisure Street is designed with European style, winding trees and lush, and modern sculptures, fountains and small mountain waterfalls are all over the fork of the block. Walking on the street, the store with the words of various countries makes people feel like they are in the small "United Nations". The flavor restaurants in more than a dozen countries are concentrated here, Shanghai cuisine, southern Anhui cuisine, northwestern cuisine and other Chinese restaurants as well as Japan, Thailand, India, Iran, Theme restaurants and bars in more than a dozen countries such as Mexico have accumulated a lot of popularity. Each country's restaurants reflect the characteristics of their countries in the store decoration and dishes, and more than half of the restaurants are opened by foreigners. 🎇 [View]
We live close to Lao Wai Jie and usually we enjoy the amazing menu of Greek Taverna. My favorite dish is the pork gyros and yogurt with honey for dessert.
It's still a 3A attraction, but now it's lonely, there are many restaurants with flavors from all over the world, and food can come.
many variety of food to choose from. recommended to eat at the shed where you an buy chicken bbq for only 2rmb each.
Lao Wai Jie is a good place to find many different types of beers, so it is a favorite of mine for sure. There are some good restaurants as well - The Fat Cow has great hamburgers along with Mad Dragon beer! Pistolera has the usual Mexican food, which is average (there are many better places in the city for Mexican). Some of the other restaurants are a bit over-rated, however. Since the lockdown and government restrictions, a number of bars have unfortunately gone out of business, but a few remain. Also unfortunately, not many foreigners remain, so business is much slower than it was. It is easy to find, and a 10 minute walk from the metro stop. Should you want to eat outside on Hongmei, there is a GREAT Indian restaurant close to Hongqiao Lu, and a nice Sichuan hot pot restaurant near as well. It is a fun place to visit and drink beer with friends.
Its changed over the years but there are still many family favorites!
