《印象上饶》演出时长为一个小时，采用的是板块式结构，共分为《序幕：远古幽梦》《第一章：万年星火》《第二章：鄱湖渔歌》《第三章：龟峰传说》《第四章：婺源乡语》《第五章：三清神韵》《尾声：魅力上饶》等七大部分。 《印象上饶》总导演是南京军区前线文工团的导演曹向东。他曾参与执导过大型音乐舞蹈史诗《复兴之路》，是张艺谋著名作品《印象刘三姐》的导演。
