神农顶景区是神农架的主景区，三十多公里的道路两侧，分布着很多个特色景点，有小龙潭、金猴岭、神农营、神农顶、神农谷、瞭望塔、迷人埫等，板壁岩是其中一个景点。
板壁岩景区在神农顶景区里面，神农顶是神农架林区的主要景点之一，小景点很多，板壁岩就是其中一个，经常云雾缭绕，还有野人传说，景色不错

这个地方的风景很看天气，蓝天白云的时候就跟漫画一样。低矮，轮廓毕现的白云，金黄又透着青色的高山草甸，笔直苍翠的冷杉，层峦叠嶂的远山，动漫的背景大致就是以这样的景色为蓝本吧！
