Muyu Town is located in Shennongjia Forest Area, and is one of the distribution centers for tourism to Shennongjia. It is about 3 hours' drive from Yichang, about half an hour's drive to the entrance of Shennongding Scenic Area, and about 1 hour's drive from Tianyan Scenic Area. Muyu Town belongs to the jurisdiction of Shennongjia Forest Area in Hubei Province. It is the southern gate of Shennongjia and the 209 National Road passes through the town.
