March is the time to admire flowers in Shenzhen, miss it and you'll have to wait another year
March is one of the most beautiful seasons in Shenzhen. Starting from the main entrance of Wutong Mountain, along the road, some say
missing the cotton rhododendrons on Wutong Mountain is like missing the spring of Shenzhen. From late March to early April
is the best time to appreciate the cotton rhododendrons on Wutong Mountain. At this time, if you climb just a little
you can see large swathes of pink, the best spots for flower viewing
01-Jiānguān Valley is located north of the Xiaowutong Square, covering an area of about 20 hectares, and is the place with the richest cotton rhododendron resources on Wutong Mountain; it offers a rich viewing experience, allowing you to look at the flowers from different angles, including straight on, from above, and from below. You can follow the Shifang Path, Xunxiang Path, and Huaxi Path to walk among the flowers and reach deep into the valley, enjoying the secluded charm among the woods. 02-Wanhua Screen is about 300 meters southwest of Fenghuang Platform, covering an area of about 15 hectares. The slope of the garden road is covered with competing cotton rhododendrons forming a unique flower wall, like a screen; the ancient rhododendron forest, composed of more than 1,000 ancient cotton rhododendron trees, stretches for hundreds of meters. When in full bloom, it forms a flower waterfall that extends from the top of the slope to the bottom of the valley, a spectacular sight. Below the Wanhua Screen, there is a 'Thousand-Year Rhododendron King' with a diameter of 58 centimeters and a height of 10.5 meters, requiring two or three adults to encircle it, worthy of everyone's admiration.
03-Doufutou Doufutou is the second highest peak of Wutong Mountain, and the scenic spot in the Doufutou Azalea area is named 'Rhododendron Crying Red'. Experts named it by combining the plant name and the beautiful and touching story of 'Rhododendron Crying Blood' from the ancient Shu kingdom. Covering more than 300 acres, the azaleas grow on both sides of the mountain ridge, presenting a bright and eye-catching sea of flowers in March, reminiscent of the landscape effect of azaleas blooming all over the ridge.
04-Ten-Mile Rhododendron Corridor The starting point is at the Xiaowutong TV Tower 'Wutong Tea Sea', passing through Dongjuan Brocade, Doufutou, Butterfly Valley, Shuangfeng Pavilion, and ending at the Hao Han Slope platform, with a total length of 2 kilometers. You can enjoy the mountains, the sea, and a distant view of Hong Kong along the way. There are camellias, fuchsia, lilac rhododendrons, cotton rhododendrons, azaleas, red lotus, and more than ten varieties of rhododendrons blooming in succession along this mountain ridge, together creating the magnificent scene of 'Ten Miles of Rhododendrons, Ten Miles of Brocade'.

Lushan, the highest mountain in Shenzhen. Sitting alone on the strange stone on the side of the river, listening to the stream groaning, watching the waves splashing, pitying the grass on the side, smelling the deep trees and birds, a poetic landscape picture appeared in front of you...
Route: Xiuyu Road 2 hours Biyu Road half an hour Daegu Peak half an hour Haohanpo 2 hours Taishan Mountain 2 hours Beimen Daegu Road: the shortest route up the mountain, and only a short steep slope, the overall is relatively easy, you can take the car to the management station and start climbing. At the end of Xiuyu Road is Biyan, and then to the top of the mountain! Fortunately, I chose this road to the mountain. If I choose Mount Tai, I will collapse, and I will vomit all down the mountain! The top of the mountain: The view is wide and there is a feeling of looking far under the sky. The whole Shenzhen city has a panoramic view! There is Yantian Port, China's largest single port, and the tallest building Ping An Financial Building! Feel comfortable! Haohanpo: steep and countless steps, there is a feeling of climbing Taishan 18 falls. In the middle is a ten-li cuckoo, but unfortunately it has not been spent. Haohan slope down is the service center, there is a supermarket bathroom, you can rest here. From now on, the road down the mountain is a wide road, and the car can enter and exit. Mount Tai: I chose this road down the mountain by mistake, and my legs were soft! The last exit is a lake. From the lake, it is Hengling bus station, and you can also take a taxi back. It starts at about 9:30 throughout the day, ends at 4:30, 7 hours. The overall feeling is still good, and finally the wish to climb the top of Lushan before the Year of the Rabbit is coming! The most important thing to note is to keep the phone full of electricity! Don't wear too much clothes!
Lushan, one of the must-check attractions in Shenzhen, went many times, but it was the first time to see the sunrise. Don't want the beauty. Watching the sun rise slowly, my heart is infinitely emotional, as if I want time to stay at the moment.
This article contains: 1-to the scenic route, 2-preparation, 3-climbing route, 4-watching the sunrise, 5-downhill 1-to the scenic route, there are many mountaineering routes, but considering the safety of our night climb, we finally decided to start climbing from the Panshan Highway at the north gate of Lushan. We are from Longhua, plus the time is sufficient, so choose public transportation to Lushan as much as possible (Longhua-Sunbu subway, then transfer to bus 211 to the terminal Lushan terminal), the disadvantage is that you need to plan the detailed time in advance; If you are traveling with several people, you can choose to take a taxi or drive by yourself. Since the last bus of the 211 bus departs at 23:00, it is best to arrive at Shaibu subway station before 23:00. You can catch the last bus directly to Busan Terminal (the bus takes about 40 minutes to the end). There are many people on the last bus. When I asked the friend next to him, he knew that he was also like us to climb Lushan at night, which was quite fateful. After getting off the bus, you can walk to the north gate of Lushan for a few minutes. 2- Before the early stage, you still need to prepare some in advance before climbing. According to our experience, if you just watch the sunrise, first watch the weather in Shenzhen on the next 2 days. If it is sunny, it is ok, but if you want to see the sea of clouds, you need to download a Lijing weather slide to the map page. Look at the height of the clouds at sunrise on the day of the mountain. The top of the mountain is about 900 meters above sea level. If the height of the clouds is too high or the cloud is too small, you can't see the sea of clouds. Then after making sure to climb the mountain, don't climb alone, because it is really dark at night, the kind that can't see the five fingers, there is no street light on the winding road, if a person will be very lonely, there is no way to encounter any danger. (We even met a snake on the road to rest in the middle of the road). Recommended items to carry: flashlight (at least 6 hours to use the whole process), thick coats that can be taken off (a bit cold on the mountain in February), small energy-powered food or fruit (eat while walking to reduce weight), sneakers, Backpacks, power banks and paper towels. Choose to carry: trekking poles, tents (the wind on the top of the mountain is relatively strong in winter night), small amounts of mineral water are carried or not brought (there are vending machines on the whole road on Panshan Road). If you shoot equipment, you can consider the SLR (too heavy) by the way. Drone (what to ask later). 3-The climbing route we arrived at the north gate of Lushan at around 0 am. At this time, hundreds of people have gathered here, and after a simple explanation, we are ready to climb (you can also calculate the time to wait for about 2 o'clock before climbing. There is no need to wait for 2 hours before the Haohanpo, and the top is all the way, but the physical fitness requirements are relatively high). If the small partner has an internal emergency, there is a public toilet on the right hand side of the door to solve it. After that, between the Panshan Highway up the mountain and the Haohanpo, there is only a public toilet in the middle. So please solve it in advance.
