The Sheqi County Museum was formerly affiliated with the Sheqi County Cultural Center. In 1953, the Nanyang County Cultural Center moved to Nanyang, and the Sheqi Town established a cultural station, which was located in the ancient building of the Shanxi and Shaanxi Guild Hall and was under the jurisdiction of the Sheqi Town Government of Nanyang County. The museum has a collection of 1,775 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, mainly pottery, bronze, stoneware and silk fabrics. In particular, the more than 50 pieces of Qing Dynasty embroidery left by the original Shanxi and Shaanxi Guild Hall, which are still well preserved, are from the hands of folk embroiderers in the late Qing Dynasty, but they inherited the embroidery needlework of the Song Dynasty, such as: "The Meeting of the Immortals" and "Eighteen Scholars", which use more than ten kinds of needlework such as flat needle embroidery, straight set embroidery, neat set embroidery, dotting embroidery, pad embroidery, and folded color embroidery. The image of the dragon in "Cloud Dragon" and "Two Dragons Playing with Pearls" is golden and lifelike, with the momentum of wanting to rush into the sky and dominate the world, and the shape and spirit are good. This embroidery has been exhibited in Denmark, Belgium, Singapore and other countries, and has been praised by foreign experts and audiences.
