Shouchun City Site

The Shouchun City site is located in the territory of Shouguan Shouchun Town, Shou County, Huainan City, Anhui Province. It is the capital of the late Chu State. The site was once the place of Cai Qianzhou in the early days. The site range is about6.2 kilometers from north to south, about 4.25 kilometers from east to west, and the total area is about 26.35 square kilometers. Outside the city, the moat is connected to Anfengtang and Lishui. In the northeast of the city, there are many large building sites built on the foundation of the loess platform. In May 1998, the Shouchun City site was announced as the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units by the Anhui Provincial People's Government, and in June 2001, it was announced as the fifth batch of key national cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

The Shouchun City site is located in the southeast of Shouxian County. There is an artificial waterway system in the Shouchun City site to divide the city into several rectangular areas for production, living and transportation. In the various districts of the city, 29 earthen platform foundations were found, most of them rectangular, as well as square and curved. There are large building base sites in Baijiatai, Yuanjiazhuang, Yuanjia Garden and Zhoujia Oil Mill in the north of the city. The Shouchuncheng site has a large number of relics and relics from the Warring States period. Since the founding of New China, exquisite cultural relics such as "Dafu's Instrument", Gold Coin, "Lu Jin", "Chen Yu", Gold Coin, "Yuan Jin", Gold Coin, Yuan Jin, and Wedge-shaped gold cakes have been unearthed, mostly in Yuanjia Garden and Chengnan, and Cai Zhaohou Tomb was unearthed. The Western Circle Cai Guo Cemetery and the bronze square pot, "Yue Wang's decree to give" bronze sword, "Cai Shu" Ge and other cultural relics. As the last capital city of Chu in the Warring States period, Shouchun City Site has rich relics of Chu culture, which embodies the late characteristics of Chu culture, which is of great significance to study and discuss the development and decline of Chu in Huaihe River Basin.
