Shouyang is the hometown of Qi Junzao, the imperial tutor of three generations in the Qing Dynasty. Qi Junzao served as the Grand Secretary of the Ti-Ren Pavilion and the Minister of Military Affairs. He was the teacher of the three emperors of the Qing Dynasty, Daoguang, Xianfeng and Tongzhi. He was also a poet and calligrapher at that time. Qi Junzao's father, Qi Yunshi, was a well-known historian, writer and scholar of Northwest China in the Qing Dynasty. The Qi family has produced many talents, and is known as "five Jinshi in one family, four Hanlin in three generations". The Qi family was honored by four dynasties in the Qing Dynasty, and reached the highest point in academic and official career. Their life path and ideals have realized the values of Confucian culture of "cultivating oneself, managing the family, governing the country and pacifying the world". The Qi Junzao Memorial Hall mainly displays the biography of Qi Junzao and his father and son, academic achievements, cultural relics, calligraphy and paintings, and physical exhibitions. The entire building complex is an antique building, simple and elegant, with a traditional courtyard layout, and the architectural features are typical traditional Shanxi residential forms. The axis layout is symmetrical, all in the Qing Dynasty architectural style, with two courtyards in the middle and three courtyards on both sides. The entrance gate is a mountain-shaped gate with three doors, and there is a screen wall with eight characters. The screen wall is engraved with "Three Generations of Imperial Teachers", which is the symbol of entering the Qi Junzao Memorial Hall. The memorial hall was built in 2007, covers an area of 2006 square meters, and is the core building of the Attraction. The name of the memorial hall was written by Mr. Shen Peng, a well-known calligrapher and consul of the National Calligraphy Association. The two flagpoles in front of the door are called three-section doujiaer stone flagpoles. In the past, all families with meritorious service had to set up two flagpoles outside their doors, which were divided into one dou, two dou, and three dou according to the size of the meritorious service. Qi Junzao was a first-rank official, so he could set up a three-dou flagpole in front of his house. There are longevity characters and bat patterns on it, symbolizing both happiness and longevity.
