Shalala Breathtaking views
Shalala was a beautifully built center and trails to enjoy the Quilotoa volcano lake. The trails were nicely done, the area was easy to explore and more nature oriented than the Quilotoa lake village....

Best pix are from atop the Mirador (not necessarily down at water level in the crater). Making your way down to water level is challenging as the decline is steep, even more exhausting coming back up ...

Nice viewpoint with a spectacular view
The view is worth it, it costs only $ 2, parking included. Do not forget to walk slowly for those who are not used to that level of altitude.
