St. Dugin's Cathedral in Split, originally the tomb of Diocletian the Great, was later converted into a church, built in the Middle Ages, the bell tower, become a very unique local building, because the highest, naturally became a landmark building.
The predecessor of St. Dominus's Cathedral was the Mausoleum of Diocletian. Fearing the foundation of Christianity's sway, he carried out a campaign of persecution of Christians during his tenure, but after death was counter-punched by Christians, destroyed the corpses, and the tomb was converted into a church. It is the greatest irony to him. The church's existing 13th century altar, as well as the sarcophagus statue, is of great cultural value.
In the Diocletian Palace, you can buy a joint ticket to see the temple, including the cathedral catacombs (now empty), the temple of Jupiter, or the clock tower to see Split (see the Korean version of the trick sister), a little scary, afraid of the tall to consider. Emperor Diocletian was buried here before. The church is small but can feel different cultures of different ethnic groups
The church itself is not distinctive, but the bell tower is not to be missed. It is the oldest bell tower that can be seen along the Adriatic Sea and the tallest building in the Diocletian Palace, 60 meters high. From above, you can see the whole Split and the scenery of Dalmatia Bay. I believe everyone will be shocked by this incredible blue! In the Korean version of "Sister of Figures", the sisters have also climbed the clock tower and marveled at the magnificent scenery in front of them. Tickets: 15KN. The stairs are only allowed to pass by one person, and they are steep. After climbing for a while, there is a platform for a rest! Panting on the spiral stairs, the fence next to it is relatively low, it is still a bit dangerous, try to lean in! Step up the 60-meter top floor, and suddenly it is bright! The medieval ancient city surrounded by heavy city walls, clear seawater surrounded by islands filled with red-topped houses, and on this long stretch of coastline, you see the Adriatic Sea in the 13th century.
