If you go to Tangier Old Town, go to the American Embassy Museum, this is the first overseas property purchased in the United States. Items are kept as they are. The price on the bathroom door is very interesting, you may wish to see. Attach photos.

This is one of the most interesting places we have seen in Morocco in a month. It is now open all day and is not closed at noon. The building diplomatic embassy is facing a great example of the raid, especially the letters and photos. At least an hour and a half visit. It's easy to find.
The American Embassy Museum, a former US consulate located in the southeast corner of the Arab settlement of Medina in Tangier's old town, is a white three-story building. Ticket 20 dirhams is the first property purchased by the United States abroad, indicating that Morocco is the first country to recognize the United States. At the beginning of Morocco's independence, the United States was the first country to establish diplomatic relations with Morocco and stationed in embassies and consulates.
Great little museum. Interesting place to visit. It would be nice to have more information about the different American authors who lived in Tangier and but just Paul Bowles. Otherwise, it is a charming house that has kept its atmosphere. Worth a visit when you are in Tangier.

The former US consulate is located in the southeast corner of the Arab gathering area on the north side of Tangier City. It is a white three-story building with a large collection of ancient maps, furniture, oil paintings, prints and paintings by artists who have been to Tangier. Surrounded by the famous Medina, narrow blocks, old alleys, crowded crowds, shopping noise, is a complete contrast. At present, this consulate is only for visitors to visit.
great great great
