View point overlooking Lake Kussharo
Original Text
There was a rest house called "Highland Koshimizu 725" near the 7th station of Mt. Mokoto at an altitude of 1000m, and it was a viewpoint with a panoramic view of Lake Kussharo. The number 725 seems to represent the height of 725 m. Unfortunately, the winter from November to April was closed, but the view from the observatory was great. I was able to see the magnificent scenery to Mt. Shari and the Sea of Okhotsk. It seems that you can see the sea of clouds early in the morning, but before ...

If you want to look down on the beautiful scenery of eastern Hokkaido from above, Koshimizucho Pass is recommended. On the road with a trailhead to Mt. Mokoto, it is on National Highway 392, which connects Koshimizu Town and Teshikaga at Koshimizu Pass. There is no observatory from the pass, but you can enjoy a superb view while driving.
There is a famous Bihoro Pass on Lake Kussharo, but compared to the wide and simple Bihoro Pass, the scenery is more complicated than the mountain entrance. If you identify the surrounding mountains with the map app, you can see that you can see the mountains far away.
I passed the road from Higashimokoto to Teshikatsu. There is Koshimizu Pass at the highest point of this road. From the time the altitude rises to Xu 々 after passing Higashimokoto, you can see and hide Mt. Shari on the left side of the traveling direction. The vicinity of the pass was a virgin forest, and I could see Mt. Shari across the virgin forest and Mt. Kaibetsu on the left.

Highland 725 recommended
There is no pass situation, so if you want a view, go to Highlands where you can climb the road branching from the pass along the information board.
